The ecoMeter in-home display is a smart new tool in the battle against climate change. It is the first consumer application of our advanced metering management solution. The ecoMeter gives consumers greater awareness of the energy consumption and empowers them to conserve energy as well as gives energy companies new possibilities for peak demand management.
Overview Information
The default screen shows an instant display of the consumers energy usage. It displays details for time and temperature, cost per hour at the current consumption rate, current electricity usage in kW and a bar graph indicating the last hours power usage in kW.
Cost Information
The ecoMeter is able to display energy costs over varying periods alongside utility meter readings. Using the cost button the cost information displayed includes: the current electricity, water, gas, and heat costs, the rate and actual meter readings and the viewing of historical cost for the previous day, the last seven days and the last 28 days.
Electricity, Gas, Heat and Water Usage
The user can view the current and historical data related to the electricity, gas, heat or water usage. Total daily consumption, consumtion during the last seven days, the last 28 days and the last 12 months are displayed. Consumption statistics are provided by bar graphs.
CO2 Emissions
Selecting the CO2 button on the ecoMeter the user can view the CO2 emissions caused by the consumers electrical, gas, heat or water consumption. The display shows the current CO2 emissions by energy type and the corresponding CO2 emissions for the day, week, month and year.
Demand Indicators
Demand indicators offer the consumer a quick way to monitor how much energy is being used around the home. The ecoMeter has a traffic light system denoting the current energy usage: green = low energy usage, amber = medium energy usage, red = high energy usage. The blue indicator flashes when the utility has sent an information message via the meter.
